The 100 Black Men of Stamford, CT (100 BMOS CT), is not only in your back yard but needs your support and help. The 100 BMOS CT is responsible for developing Stamford, CT youth by molding youth minds and dreams to self-actualization.
Although you’ve heard of similarly named organizations, this is not them! The 100 BMOS CT was established as one chapter, out of 80 within the 100 BMOA (BMOA) network. The 100 Black Men of Stamford, CT (100 BMOS CT) is located at the corner of civic engagement and youth impact in Fairfield Connecticut and is led by current President Mr. Jesse L. Baker II.
With black culture at the center of the world, historically, the 100 BMOS CT and their movement, is exactly what today’s Black History of 2025, is all about, standing on the shoulders of giants. Specifically at the national level, BMOA, originated in 1963, by some pretty amazing and historic founding members – David Dinkins, Robert Mangum, Dr. William Hayling, Nathaniel Goldston III, Livingston Wingate, Andrew Hatcher, and Jackie Robinson, just to name a few.
Today in Stamford, Connecticut the 100 BMOS CT are doing their best to nurture and enhance the youth of our communities. Their impactful programming is centered in truth and based on: family respect, spirituality, justice, and integrity. Programming ranges and blends important concepts of life, career, finances and professional aspiration. Some vehicles of programmatic impact are group mentoring at youth boxing locations, annual day of youth snowboarding and skiing, experiential learning exposure program with Fairfield County businesses, STEM exploration fairs with technology vendors, financial education workshops and hosting of an annual college for over 20 years!
Interesting to know, the 100 BMOS CT are currently up to “Good Trouble” developing even more and partnering with other historically black based affiliate organizations while, of course, also being open to new partnerships as well including an upcoming STEM event partnership with Ethnic Online on May 31, 2025! Stay tuned for more details.
The 100 BMOA’s motto for all organizations is “What they see, they will be”. Everyone’s connected to a young person that “needs direction” lets support the cause and show them what every young person may become: the children of the future – give the 100 BMOS CT as a suggestion!
