Danielle “Ms. HotSauce” Johnson is a force of nature—radiant, relentless, and unapologetically bold. A proud Boston native, Danielle has spent her life using her voice to uplift others and create space for underrepresented communities to shine. Her journey from blogger to broadcast powerhouse is a testament to her passion, resilience, and vision for change.

In 2020, Danielle made history by launching Spark FM Online, Boston’s first Black female-owned digital radio station. Designed to amplify urban and Caribbean voices often overlooked in mainstream media, Spark FM quickly became a cultural touchstone—offering music, news, and conversations that reflect the real rhythm of the city. Under Danielle’s leadership, Spark FM has grown into a national platform, celebrated for its authenticity and impact. In recognition of her work, she was named one of Boston Magazine’s Most Influential People in both 2022 and 2023, and in 2024, the City of Boston officially declared October 5th as Spark FM Day.

Beyond the airwaves, Danielle continues to build platforms for creativity and empowerment. She founded the Spark Media and Culture Center, a vibrant hub providing podcast studios, event space, and mentorship for emerging creators. Through GRLZ Media, she inspires young women to find their voices in media, a mission rooted in her early experiences at GRLZ Radio under mentor Saun Green. Danielle is also co-founder of the Boston Society of Caribbean Culture and Heritage (BSOCCAH), celebrating and preserving Caribbean heritage through cultural programming and events.

A fierce advocate for community and business development, Danielle partners with organizations such as BECMA, Ujima Good Business Alliance, and EforAll, championing Black and Caribbean entrepreneurs. She even leads empowerment programs that teach self-defense and gun safety to women business owners.

Whether she’s hosting, mentoring, or advocating, Ms. HotSauce lives up to her name—bringing energy, authenticity, and fire to everything she touches. Her legacy is one of courage, culture, and community—proof that when passion meets purpose, transformation follows.
